From
1st January 2007 it has generally not been possible to import new
2 stroke outboards into Europe as a result of increased emmissions
requirement. Only Tohatsu's TLDI fuel injected 2 strokes are clean
enough to meet the new standards, and as such are now the only new
2 strokes that we can import.
This
legislation does not affect existing engines, or engines that were
imported before the end of 2006, and to meet demand Tohatsu imported
close to double the number of engines that they usually sell. during
2006.Supplies
of these 2 stroke outboards have now almost completely dried up, so we are
not listing prices for them any more. If you need a 2 stroke
outboard, please get in touch and we will attempt to source one
for you - there are some available, particularly 3.5Hp and some larger
engines from 50Hp up.
Tohatsu's 4 stroke engines are simple, reliable and more
efficient than 2 strokes, and have been competitively priced against 2 strokes
since before the end of 2006. We will have a 4 stroke available
that will
be a suitable replacement for any 2 stroke.

order to provide a better serviceto our clients, Kylesku Boats has
joined the Nationwide marine
sales and service network and are
now part of the UK Tohatsu dealer chain. We now supply engines on our own behalf instead of sourcing
them from other suppliers, keeping cost down and of course we can supply you an engine for your existing boat!
