| Hebrides boats are professionally moulded from quality materials throughout. Only stainless steel or other marine grade hardware is used. Click on the pictures to have a closer look at some of the design features and details of our boats. | |
| We fit a stainless steel keelband to protect the keel of our boats. This strip prevents wear when grounding the boat on a beach for example and is fitted as standard to all our boats. | |
| All our boats come with a set of oars and rowlocks ready fitted. The rowlocks and sockets are cast from a marine grade alloy, oars are of varnished wood. | |
| As standard we supply an outboard motor pad fitted to our boats to allow an outboard motor of up to 8Hp to be fitted. | |
We optionally fit a sternlocker to some of our boats. There is an opening in the lid allowing a fuel tank to be placed in the locker with the hose permanently fitted through the lid in the closed position. |
The stern locker (where fitted) has a stainless steel catch allowing it to be locked with a padlock. |
We fill the keel with foam for bouyancy and glass over it to give a flat clear deck over the majority of the boat. Footrests for rowing are moulded into the floor, a recess catches water and collects it to be bailed out of the boat. |
On the 440 the hull is rolled inwards to form a smooth wide gunwhale in one piece. This makes the moulding process more difficult but results in a very nice finish. Please note that the 400 hull is not finished this way, it has a small outward turned lip with a rubber moulding over it as a finishing trim. |
Stainless steel mooring eyes are fitted bow and stern, bolted through a pad moulded into the hull to spread the load. |
We are working on a system to drain water from the hull when the boat is not in use. This raises the floor above the waterlevel, a valve is opened allowing rainwater to drain out. We hope to have this ready for the next production run. |

Another ongoing development is a sailing version. Again this is not ready for public sale yet but is still under developement. |
