For sale: Pacific 22

Pacific 22 built by Halmatic for MOD in 1995. This hull was stripped out by the MOD prior to disposal hence is being sold as a project, with machinery to be fitted. This boat was bought with machinery as a project in 2004 and has been stored since, this is an opportunity to acquire a good example of this RIB at a low price, new pacific 22's can cost in excess of £120,000.00

Particulars

22 feet / 6.5m long, 2.05m wide without tubes. The hull is in very good condition, fuel tank and exhaust fitted but new fuel lines are needed. Will require new engine controls and steering as well as new tubes. Fitting bars for tubes are supplied.

Machinery

Mermaid Turbo 4 currently rated at 150Hp. This is a commercial spec 12V engine not 24V as fitted originally, this is not a problem as the boat needs rewiring. T~~he engine needs horizontal mounting feet instead of the downangle feet currently fitted and a water injection elbow~~ Now fitted see below!

Borg Warner 71 1:1 ratio Velvet drive gearbox with oil cooler in good working order.

Overhauled Sternpowr 100 series sterndrive leg. This sternpowr leg has many new parts and is in good condition, is understood to have been overhauled by the MOD then sold at auction. New rams, seals, hoses and bellows fitted. I have a Mercruiser trim pump and an original driveshaft.

Work completed

Engine set up on test bed, engine oil pressure checked, 2 bar with starter motor cranking (engine not running).
Turbo removed and cleaned, refitted with new gasket.
Gearbox refitted with correct bolts.
Rear feet removed and fitted with Mermaid parts to suit Pacific 22 application.
Trim pump test run.
New stainless water injection elbow purchased and fitted with cooling water pipes.
